"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish." (Isaiah 41:10-11)

TRUST God. OBEY God. Feel Confident.

- - -

TRUST God. OBEY God. Feel confident.

Although I'm Roman Catholic, I enjoy watching DR Charles F. Stanley on FOX television every Sunday at 0800. He is the senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Atlanta Georga USA. In addition, he is the founder of "InTouch Ministries" and the Charles Stanley Institute for Christian Living. He is a great speaker on television.

DR Charles F. Stanley has promulgated the most practical advice that I've ever heard in my life. His wise counsel makes great sense because it acknowledges implicitly the severe limitations of being human.

1. Obey God.

2. Leave all the consequences to Him.

If you try to follow these two principles, then your life will be much more meaningful. These two principles are not complicated. That's why they are so powerful. One could express the idea another way.

TRUST God.

OBEY God.

Feel confident.

God loves every one of us in spite of our stupidity, obstinacy, and hubris. Like Saint Paul on the road to Damascus, we will be knocked off a galloping horse whenever God demands our UNDIVIDED ATTENTION. Whenever you begin to drift in your life, God is going to ask you the following question: "Which part of OBEY didn't you understand?"

TRUST God. OBEY God. Feel confident.

The Language of Profanity

- - -

The Language of Profanity

Many people have not acquired fully the breadth of experience that comes with time. That would be a very polite way of saying that they are extremely immature psychologically.

Immature people act in an extremely obnoxious manner in order to gain NEGATIVE attention. This behavior is caused by a failure to develop beyond the "ego-centric" stage of infancy. They choose to present themselves in very inappropriate ways.

The compulsion to use PROFANITY indicates a severe lack of intellectual and emotional development. Intelligent, rational people do NOT feel a need to resort to profanity in order to express a position on an issue.

I am not criticizing any specific person. However, I need to make the following general comment: "IF THE SHOE FITS, THEN WEAR IT." You people know who you are. You can be assured that everyone else knows who you are also.

If you want everyone to conclude that you are extremely deficient both intellectually and emotionally, then continue to present yourselves using the LANGUAGE OF PROFANITY. I assure you that people will draw the appropriate conclusion about your personality.

"In Flanders Fields"

- - - - -

"In Flanders Fields"

by

Lieutenant Colonel

John Alexander McCrae,

MD

November 30, 1872 –

January 28, 1918

- - - - -

In Flanders fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place; and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Loved, and were loved, and now we lie

In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

To you from failing hands we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high.

If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

In Flanders fields.

Smoking is Bondage.

- - - - -

I know that smoking is quite pervasive in the world. That is truly unfortunate because smoking is a dirty, nasty addiction. I consider smoking to be an insidious form of BONDAGE. Wouldn't you prefer to be free?

However, there is one overwhelming reason not to smoke cigarettes. God indicated his strong disapproval of all addictive habits when Saint Paul said:

"For we are the temple of the living God." (2 Corinthians 6:16)

Your body, mind, and spirit belong to the living God. Your life belongs to your Creator. His truth shall make you free.
