HTML - Word Wrap and Other Important Attributes
Note: I seem to be having trouble with line space during superscript and subscript. I don't have his problem when using Myspace. If anyone has the solution, then tell me how to control the spacing.
The HTML syntax required to employ some important blogging attributes.
One must use the ALIGN command within the IMG tag to use word wrap around an image. The use of Word Wrap will improve the appearance of any blog entry. Word Wrap provides a more professional appearance on the screen. One should use it extensively. Word Wrap is more EFFECTIVE because the message is conveyed with more impact. In addition, Word Wrap is more EFFICIENT because screen space is used in a more economical manner. In other words, Word Wrap produces better results with less waste.
I learned about this technique in a book entitled "HTML PROFESSIONAL PROJECTS" that I purchased on sale. It was an extremely good investment. I hope that others will learn the technique also. John W. Gosney explains left and right alignment between pages 62 and 65. Go to http://www.courseptr.com/downloads to investigate further. If you are going to write a blog, then it's important that it be done well.
One other item worth mentioning is the use of the block quote in a blog. This is quite easy to implement. However, it is something that doesn't occur to most people who write blogs. I'll provide an example. Here is a quote from a famous speech. See if you can identify the person speaking.
Rally to me. Let the indomitable spirit of Bataan and Corregidor lead on. As the lines of battle roll forward to bring you within the zone of operations, rise and strike. Strike at every favorable opportunity. For your homes and hearths, strike! For future generations of your sons and daughters, strike! In the name of your sacred dead, strike! Let no heart be faint. Let every arm be steeled. The guidance of divine God points the way. Follow in His Name to the Holy Grail of righteous victory!
This speech was delivered to the people of the PHILIPPINES by General Douglas MacArthur when he fulfilled his WWII promise to return.
I have one final item to discuss. You can add various attributes to your text. One can use italics, bold, underline, superscript, or subscript in various combinations when writing HTML in a blog. However, it should go without saying that one can't superscript and subscript the same item simultaneously. This observation should be self-evident.
I've discussed the most important functional items that will improve the appearance of any blog. Remember, writing a good blog and presenting it well is like speaking proper English. One must not create the appearance of illiteracy. Have fun and blog well. If it's worth doing, then it's worth doing well. Write a good blog for the sake of your readers.
One more thing that I should mention is how to make a numbered list and a bullet list. As an example, look at the combined list below.

- three
